This photograph may actually depict Ensign/Lieutenant Thomas Horner Pearson who served in the 43rd Light Infantry. The photograph is a portrait bust. Pearson is wearing a dark jacket and is looking off to his left. He is clean-shaven. The photograph is included on page 34 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
