Description
Glass plate negative showing Truby King's residence in Melrose, Wellington, from a high vantage point. The side of the house closest to the photographer is single story with a low pitched roof. The other half of the house is two stories and has a steep pitched roof. The front of the house is on the left. On the single story side of the house there is a verandah with the front door to the house. At the back of the house on the side that is two stories there is a brick chimney. Behind the single story section of the building there is a shed or outhouse. The house is surrounded by fields.
