Biography
Captain Eliot Millar King was born in New Plymouth, the son of Newton King. He was a pilot in the Royal Naval Air Service, serving in the Mediterranean (Egypt and Syria) from 1914-1918. His actions during the war earned him the Distiguished Flying Cross, Croix de Guerre, 1914-1915 Star and Victory Medal. In peacetime he was a member of the firm Newton King Ltd. Eliot died in 1958.
