Copy photograph of Major James Paul, 65th Regiment. He is pictured in full military uniform and holds a sword in one hand. His other hand is resting on the back of a chair. Paul was wounded in the Battle of Ferozeshah, Punjab, in December 1845. The photograph is included on page 22 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
