Description
A Dutch Java War Medal (Medaille van den Oorlog op Java). The octagonal bronze medal features the left facing profile of King Willem I. " KONING WILLEM I. DER NEDERLANDEN" is marked around this. "OORLOG / OP / JAVA. / 1825-1830. "is marked on the reverse within a wreath of oak and palm leaves. The medal is attached to a plain yellow ribbon on a laterally-pierced ball suspension.
