Horace Frank "Mannie" Snowden, standing holding bicycle wearing sash which reads "N.Z. Road Champs // 112 Miles Timaru to Christchurch..." next to him is large display of trophies and prizes. The other sashes displayed are from 1934, 1935 and 1938. Mannie was a keen cyclist and won the Round the Mountain of 1932, the Palmerston North to Wellington ride of 1935 and he had the fastest time in the Christchurch to Timaru ride of 1938.
