Biography
Gained Diploma in Fine Arts (Hons) from Elam School of Fine Arts in 1960. Worked as a commercial artist before commencing his teacher training. Is known for pioneering the screenprinting technique that allowed for gradations of colour rather than blocks of colour. Worked almost exclusively as a printmaker from 1975 to 1995. He has concentrated on painting since 2002. Has exhibited extensively around New Zealand and has also shown in Australia and England. His work is held in major collections around New Zealand.
