Biography
Paul Connell took over his grandfather's (Nigel Connell) studio in 1951. Around 1976 he and his wife Sheila purchased Ernie Armstrong's studio in Hawera, which they ran until 1988, when the studio closed. Paul then became the manager of the Stratford branch of IHC, and Sheila continued the Eltham business as Connell Creative Photography. Some Connell negatives are held by the Eltham and Districts Historical Society. Source: Auckland City Libraries Photographers Database.
