Biography
Sue Matthews was born in Inglewood on 30 May 1921.Attended Inglewood and Stratford High Schools. She joined the Women's Land Corps in World War Two. Went nursing at the end of the war. District Health Nurse. Present at Te Rangi Hiroa's tangi. Matthews was posted to Oakune before moving to Urenui. She continued her nursing training and worked in Great Barrier Island. Spent forty years nursing.
