Biography
Mr Smith, the son of Edward Metcalf Smith, looked after the New Plymouth water supply for 58 1/2 years. He was a Taranaki Rugby Representative and a foundation member of the New Plymouth Boxing Association. His obituary is in the Taranaki Herald February 18 1970.
