Biography
Returning to pottery in 2020 after a 30 year break, Gaye has gone back to her preferred firing method – raku. She enjoys how this method gives immediate results with the red hot pots being tonged out of the kiln and immersed in combustibles. Her influences are artefacts and landforms – mainly the volcanic Taranaki environment. She references it using metallic
