Biography
Herbert W. Insull came to New Zealand in 1910 and resumed his teaching career. He held the position of Organising Teacher in the Ohura District from 1919 to 1922 when he was appointed Secretary of the Taranaki Education Board, a position he held until he retired in 1945. In his retirement Insull continued his interest in local history and education, assisting the compilers of many Jubilee publications and at the time of his death in 1962, he was working on the history of Early Schools in Taranaki.
