Biography
Helen Mary Warren was the great-granddaughter of Dr Peter Wilson (colonial surgeon). She married Victor Warren in 1955 in Kaitaia. Her husband taught at Kaitaia College. They lived at 58 Church Road in Kaitaia. Helen gifted a collection of items relating to Peter Wilson to Taranaki Museum over a period of several years in the 1970s. She was also friends with Rita Angus - Angus came to stay with Helen at some stage and did a watercolour sketch of her (see A66.742). How Helen Warren and Rita Angus came to know each other is not clear.
