Biography
A pharmacist, whose family emigrated from Glasgow, Scotland, to New Plymouth, New Zealand, when he was 18 months old. He began as an apprentice to A. H. Blennerhassett in the 1940s and ultimately the same pharmacy became Quay’s Pharmacy. His mother's name was Diana Miller Quay, and she had nine children. In 2009 he published 'Memoirs of a Pill Pedlar', which is registered as ARC2023-011, and part of the archives collection at Puke Ariki.
