Biography
Griffin’s started as a Nelson-based flour mill business in 1864. The business extended to include biscuits, confectionary and drinking cocoa by the end of the nineteenth century, however, it was the company’s contract to make the biscuits for all Allied Troops during World War Two that made Griffin’s a household name. While the company is still New Zealand-operated, it has been under overseas ownership since 1965.
