Biography
The Egmont Brevet Club was formed in 1955 and wound up in 2009. The majority of its members were World War II veterans.
Membership to a Brevet Club can be made by any person awarded a 'Brevet' (aircrew flying badge) by the armed forces of any Commonwealth country. An aircrew brevet (officially known as an aircrew badge) is the badge worn on the left breast, above any medal ribbons, by qualified aircrew in the Royal Air Force, British Army, Indian Air Force, Canadian Forces, Australian Army, Royal Australian Air Force, Royal New Zealand Air Force, South African Air Force and Sri Lanka Air Force.
