Biography
In Wellington since 1874/5, previously in Melbourne (Evening Argus, 3 and 4 August 1877; NZ Mail, 11 August 1877). Takes over Batt and Richards premises on Lambton Quay, and builds a large gallery (Evening Post, 6 November 1876, p4). In partnership with Mrs Hamilton 1878. Wellington studio wound up 1884 (NZ Mail , 11 January 1884 and 11 February 1884, p22). Patent application no.13620, 13 May 1901, for a rapid photo-printing apparatus. Appears in the 1881 Electoral Roll as "Clark", Tinoraki Rd, Thorndon, and 1882 advert.
