Biography
James Wrigglesworth (1836-1906) began his photographic career in Wellington in 1863, and soon went into partnership with George Henry Swan (1833-1913) who managed their branch in Napier. The partnership dissolved in 1866 and Wrigglesworth joined F C Binns only in 1874. Listed as a photographer in the 1893 Electoral Roll. Private residence Sydney Street. Died in Melbourne in 1906 (see obituary, Evening Post, 25 October 1906, p8). Listed in the Wellington Almanac as D Wrigglesworth. Established a studio in Wellington in 1863 which operated until 1866, 1872-1873, and 1893.
