Tarata Pukeho Young Farmers' Club
Description
Formed in May 1939, the Tarata/Pukeho Club met in the Tarata Hall, holding a variety of activities including debating, public speaking, growing swedes, pasture and stock judging, shearing competitions, rifle shooting and dog trials. The club closed in 1989.
The collection contains Minutebooks, 1939-1989, membership lists, and a letter from the Dept. of Agriculture recommending the abondonment of all unessential activities for the duration of the War. 27 May 1940.
