The Band of the 1st Battalion, Taranaki Regiment (Taranaki Regimental Band) during a band competition at Pukekura Park. The band members are marching in formation whilst playing. The trumpeter on the far right at the back is Gordon Nunns. A large crowd fills the terraces in the background. A square peaked tent is pitched on the grounds behind the band and a row of cars are parked at the edge of the parade ground.
