Photograph of various prominent people at the unveiling of the Taranaki Wars memorial on top of Marsland Hill. Governor-General William Plunket is second from the right hand side of the image and his wife, Lady Victoria Alexandrina, stands beside him. Other prominent soldiers are also pictured in the photograph: Colonel Ellis is next to the Governor-General, Mr Quigley is next to Lady Plunket, and Mr Crone is next to Mr Quigley. The monument on Marsland Hill is located behind them.
