Photograph of veterans of the Taranaki Wars. Taken on on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Battle of Waireka (28 March 1860). Only one of the veterans pictured (John Andrews) was actually present at Waireka. There are three rows of veterans, each at a different height level. The men in the third row are standing. All of the men are wearing suits and hats while some of them wear war medals. The photograph was taken on 28 March 1927 at Kawaroa Park and published on 16 April 1927 in the Taranaki Herald.
