The person standing on the right of this photo is Thomas Job Hickman. Thomas was born in Pont Audemer in France in 1847. His father was working in France in the Iron industry but they lived in Bilston, Nr Wolverhapmton. Thomas left Bilston in 1861 on the ship the Wild Duck to come to New Zealand, landing in Wellington.
