Description
Copy negative of Caroline (known as Queenie) Perrett (or Perrott). Also known as Hera Ngoungou, she was born on 10 September 1866 in Lepperton, the daughter of William Perrott (1824-1898) and May Ann Hurlstone (1832-1886). She was kidnapped by Maori when she was eight years old and not reunited with her family until she was 60. Caroline died on 5 July 1943 in Whakatane.

Named as Caroline, her father called her "Queenie", Charles Perrett in Accession No SW1923-1965.01023 is her brother
