Photograph includes a general view of central New Plymouth including Marsland Hill Barracks, the Ship Hotel and various other houses and buildings. The Ship Hotel was owned by Charles William (d. 1862) and Caroline Foote (d. 1863).

Public comments

Just as an interest the Ship Hotel was owned by Charles William and Caroline Foote. Charles died in 1862 aged 42 and Caroline died the following year in 1963 aged 32.
