Dark Brown wooden canoe bailer. Deep scoop bowl with steep sides. Squarish V shaped lip at front. Raised handle which flares to a rounded knob end. Handle has cross hatching carved into surface. Back section has a naturalistic type face carved with paua shell insets in eyes. Pear shaped underside with adze markings clearly evident.
