Panorama photograph of the Waihi Redoubt at Normanby. The image depicts some of the military buildings and a fence. There are a number of soldiers peering over the fence (one of whom has been identified as Alexander Knight). At the far left of the image is the watchtower and there are soldiers perched on top. On the right is the end of No 2 Blockhouse, next to it is the Station Office and Orderly Room with the roof of the store behind the men. The edges of the mount are decorated with a scalloped design.
