A Maori village with several houses made from wood and flaxes. A group of 3 people stand outside one which is just off the right centre. There is a house with no walls in the foreground on the left hand side of the photograph. A grass area covers the bottom third of the photograph.

Public comments
The Maori Village was part of the New Plymouth Exhibition of Art And Industries 1904/5. Maori from Rahotu (Ngatihaupoto)and possibly also Okato hosted the Maori Village and gave various demonstrations of Maori Life, haka, waiata etc.
