Hand-tinted framed photograph of Sarah (Hera) Marsh (nee Stockman) (1849-1929) wearing a black dress with a high collar and a clasp at the neck. Sarah was one of three children born to Toumairangi (Emma) Te Kakati and Edward William Stockman. She later married Esau Marsh (1836-1929).

Born: 15th November 1849 at New Plymouth. Died: 20th February 1929 (80 years) Buried Tikorangi Cemetery.
