National Savings Bond

Production date
National Savings Bonds were first used in 1940, known as Victory Bonds, they were redeemable five years from the date of issue and were a means of encouraging New Zealanders to save money and provide the government with a revenue stream for the war effort. Two bonds issued 20 September 1944.
