Carte-de-visite of Lieutenant Bally of the 70th Regiment of the Foot which was stationed in Taranki from 1863-1866. Bally is leaning against a pedestal with his right arm resting on a balustrade. There are books sitting on top of the pedestal which is on the left side of the image. A curtain covers the right side of the image. Bally is dressed in military uniform with a sash across his chest. He is holding his hat, which displays the number '70' in his right hand.
