Description
Carte-de-visite of Dr. William Alexander McKinnon, Victoria Cross winner, from the 57th Regiment. He is dressed in full Scottish regalia. There is a table with books on the top of the table just visible on the right side of the image. McKinnon stands with his hand on his sword pommel. There is some discrepency over whether or not McKinnon actually won the Victoria Cross. His name does not appear in any of the Victoria Cross registers but the initials V.C. do appear next to his name on this original.
