View from the breakwater back towards the mainland of the construction of the breakwater at New Plymouth harbour. In the foreground large blocks of rock are being moved by a small locomotive on tracks. A crane is visible at the beginning of the breakwater in front of a collection of buildings. Paritutu can be seen in the top right of the image.
