Description
A William IV decorated wooden constable's truncheon with a shaft that tapers slightly outwards and is rounded at the end. The truncheon has a ribbed handle with a knobbed top. The black painted wood is decorated with the Royal Cypher of William IV surmounting a crown. " ST" / PANCRAS / MIDDx / 217 " is also marked on the truncheon which has a very faint maker's mark stamped on the top of the handle.
