Oral History: Recorded at the Women's Division fo Federated Farmers, North Taranaki Province, function to mark Women's Suffrage Year. Mrs Malthus is the fourth speaker on the theme "Women on the Land".She speaks of her early life in Gisborne, becoming a school teacher, marriage and her two children. She tells of her desire to be a Real Estate Agent, coping with exams, eventually being accepted into the business world and becoming the first manager in her firm.
