Oral history. Involved with Little Theatre late 1960's to mid 1970's, Brian became involved with the theatre through Ted Collie. Originally a designer, he wanted to produce plays. His first play was Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, and produced two plays which he wrote 73rd Day and The Waitara Purchase. Discusses his attitude and approach to theatre and the changing environment in New Plymouth, now a a greater awareness of the arts. Also talks of Downstage and professional theatre.
