This crew G.Fowler, B Old, F.Olsson, G.Topless M.Crow coxswain won the NZ four oar Championship in 1938. They were invited to do a demonstration on Pukekura Park lake on their return after the championship. This photo is that record. The crew won again in 1939, and in 1940 but with a crew change as Fowler enlisted in the army and O.Sampson joined the crew.
