M. Ross 'Devon House' building, Devon Street

Description
Three men in suits standing outside the Devon House building on Devon Street East, New Plymouth. The name "M. Ross" (Mary Ross) is painted above the top floor window of the store. One man stands in the doorway of the building and the other two stand to the left of the building frontage at the bottom of a flight of wooden steps. There is also another shop on the right of the image. Ross was described as a "Draper, milliner [and] clothier" in the Taranaki Herald as early as 1865.
