Description
Oral history recording. Lourdes (Lulu) Clark was born in the Philippines in 1945 and completed her schooling and university there. She and her husband Stanley left the country in 1979 during the rule of President Ferdinand Marcos. Lulu was secretary of the Taranaki Filipino Society and did voluntary work for the Salvation Army. She describes the differences in language, food, customs and weather between the Philippines and New Zealand. Recorded as part of the Taranaki Museum's immigration project.
