Oral history. Born and grew up in Teheran in a family of Bahai faith - which started in Iran. Family emigrated from Iran in singly in the early 70's. They couldn't leave as a family unit. Attifeh went to Holland where she met her husband at a Bahai meeting. Their children were born there. They emigrated to New Zealand for husband's work as an engineer in Whangarei. After two years they returned to Holland to sell their home. Returned to New Zealand where her husband found a job with Shell BP Todd and they lived in Inglewood until her marriage broke up and her husband moved to Thailand. She talks of New Plymouth Bahai community.
