Oral history recording. Mabel (May) Isabel Tullett (nee Robertson) (1927-2011) was born in Edinburgh and educated in Scotland. May entered the Civil Service and worked in Germany for four years after the Second World War. She emigrated to Blenheim from London in 1951 to become secretary to the medical superintendent of the Marlborough Hospital Board. She married James Stuart Tullett (known as Stuart) who she had met in Germany, and they had three children. The family moved to New Plymouth in 1963 where Stuart worked for the Taranaki Herald newspaper and wrote novels. May talks about her family back in Scotland, her career before she got married, Stuart's life and work and her own hobbies including pottery, painting, music and the theatre. Recorded as part of the Taranaki Museum's immigration project.
