 Description
Debutante Valerie Grundy, daughter of mechanic Fred Percival Grundy and Rose Mary Grundy (nee Symonds), with an unidentified young man in a tuxedo. Valerie was presented to the Minister of Police, Wilfred Fortune, at the National Party's New Plymouth electorate annual ball on 3 May 1950. Eleven other debs were also presented on stage that evening.
