A large khaki canvas wallet with seven pockets. There are five small pockets and two large ones and there are four buttoned flaps inside and tie strings on the outside. One large pocket is badly torn. " Bayly " is written in ink on one flap and "52931" is written on one pocket.
This wallet belonged to Alfred Richmond Bayly, a farmer from Omata who served in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force after embarking for service on 12 June 1917.
