Tongaporutu Coastline - Pat Greenfield illustrating 'before and after' in front of The Four Brothers, 30 January 2006

Production date
30 Jan 2006
Description
Image taken by a member of the Sticky Pictures crew, who were commissioned by Te Papa to make a short film of Pat Greenfield explaining her Tongaporutu documentation project. The film is being shown in Te Papa's long-term 'Blood Earth Fire' exhibition. Pat says she was selected for the project because they were attracted to her "funny hat". Pat Greenfield is depicted to the right of the image in the foreground, wearing shorts, a T-shirt and her "funny" hat, holding a 'before' shot of the Four Brothers still intact. In the background three of the Four Brothers are visible, one of which collapsed in the storm of 29 September 2003. The waves in the background are small and there is high white cloud covering the sky. Photograph taken 30 January 2006.
