Description
A brown leather belt with a brass buckle with a clasp in the shape of a twin headed snake. " W WIGGINS / MAKER / WELLINGTON " is stamped on the leather near one end of the belt. " H.M. Scott N.Z.R/8Coy Reinforcements " is stamped in faded letters on the underside of the belt.

This belt belonged to Horace Dartwell Stanners although it may have initially been issued to another soldier. Horace was from Eltham and served in Gallipoli. He returned to Eltham after standing on a bayonet and was reliant on walking sticks for much of his life. He died in the late 1960s.
