Crease
Description
A single crease with a rounded wooden handle attached to a gently curved shank which ends in a shield shaped head with a blunt edge. A series of dents are stamped into the brass band where the shank joins the handle.

Graham,
who
owned
a
boot
repair
and
saddlery
shop
in
Queen
Street,
Waitara.
Leatherworkers
use
a
wide
variety
of
crease
tools,
but
they
all
have
the
basic
job
of
imprinting
lines
on
the
surface
of
leather.
This
can
be
done
for
decoration
or
as
a
guide
for
sewing.
