Pricker, Wheel
Description
A wheel pricker with a rounded wooden handle attached to a metal shank which is bent near the end. The shank has a circular toothed wheel mounted in a forked carrier. "G.S.C.S Borne & Co" is stamped into one side of the shank. "ESTD1826" is stamped on the other side in a rectangle. "6" is stamped on top of the shank.

Wheel
prickers
were
used
to
make
a
series
of
holes
in
the
surface
of
the
leather
to
guide
the
awl
before
sewing.
