This loop stick was used by Robert Graham, who owned a boot repair and saddlery shop in Queen Street, Waitara. Loop sticks were used as a former on which the loop ( the piece of leather placed cross-wise on straps near a buckle to receive the point of the strap) is mounted and hammered into shape.
