Description
Kaupapa woven from wool. Worked in horizontal rows of whatu-aho-tahi. Five whenu to every 10mm. Ara, made from twine, spaced at approx 15mm intervals. Sections of Multi-coloured pheasant feathers interspersed with Kaka feathers form top row. Green and pink wool also line the top. Kaupapa of the cloak has alternate sections of niho taniwha that are weaved horizontally from one side to the other with bright green white and pink wool. In between horizontal sections are poipoi resembling ngore woven from pink green and white wool.
