A Snider Mark III .577 calibre cavalry carbine with a brass trigger guard and a butt cap with a butt trap. It is marked "B.S.A. & M . Coy 1880". " N.80z / 0410 " with "S. C. " stamped over it is marked on the breech block along with a 'sold from service' mark.
